Ya let someone borrow the keys for just one time and this is what happens.
we busted through their sliding glass windows ...
they don't even use the door ... and
we made ourselves a sandwich in the kitchen, we stole their tv, took their stereo, kicked their dog,
Kicked Miami Bear? How could they?
You see what I'm up against? [Insert Micheal Vick joke here]
(Note: I obviously had to wait until week 2 to put up the first pick of Miami Bear.)
Actually I'm quite happy with 8-6-2. Pulled off these gems:
Stay away from the Browns until Quinn gets a couple of starts under his belt...
In fact, the Titans will not only cover but win...
I think the Lions might be ok this year and I think Kitna will put up some very good numbers...
Impressive, no? So let's just move on right now to this week's games without even pondering for one second what any other of my bold predictions were...Hey! No stalling. Quickly now.
New York Jets (+11) at Baltimore Ravens
Apparently Pennington won't play (though it wouldn't shock me if somehow he gets in the game. Clemens makes his first NFL start but I just don't like how many points the Ravens have to give away here. McNair is not the same QB he once was. How about a limping Chad Pennington leading the Jets back to win a 13-10 game....or maybe just the Jets cover in the:

Jets
Houston Texans (+6.5) at Carolina Panthers
I don't like picking teams to cover who I think will probably lose. But, well, here we go again.
Texans
Kansas City Chiefs (+12) at Chicago Bears
No doubt the call on this game.
Bears
Cincinnati Bengals (-6.5) at Cleveland Browns
Another line we are quite comfortable in taking.
Bengals
Dallas Silly Nannies (-3.5) at Miami Dolphins
You know if this were any other team I would be putting up the lock. Nevertheless, while home field could matter I just can't go against the Silly Nannies.
Oakland Raiders (+10) at Denver Broncos
Broncos could win this one by 30.
Broncos
Minnesota Vikings (+3) at Detroit Lions
Like Curly R we here at CommonPrejudice suffer from the presence of a lurker. Here's a photo I took of him last year.
So at least he's not a divisional foe. (and managed to tie last week with CommonPrejudice at 8-6-2) I think last week was just Joey being Joey (see below). Therefore despite my misguided assurances of an impending eyeopener, I am boldly running out onto that limb once again and calling this game as my
Lions (Kitna throws for 300)
Indianapolis Colts (-7) at Tennessee Titans
One more time. (extra incentive for the Titans here. This is the team Manning is playing in that commercial where he tells you to go watch the other game because I am destroying this team)
Titans
Atlanta Falcons (+10) at Jacksonville Jaguars
You know, I don't think the name change from Joey to Joe would be enough for Harrington. We need a name that represents toughness, grit, backbone .... How about...Pat!!!
I'm not totally thrilled here, with the Jags looking so miserable and still having to give away ten points. But what choice do I have?
Jaguars
San Diego Chargers (+3.5) at New England Patriots
Lots of wonderful pictures today.
I'd say more but I think I'm being filmed.
Patriots
New Orleans Saints (+3.5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
I just can't help but see the Saints rolling here. I'm still a believer.
Saints
Green Bay Packers (Even) at New York Giants
The G Girls are just too banged up. Gotta go with the Pack
Packers
Buffalo Bills (+10) at Pittsburgh Steelers
Steelers
Seattle Seahawks (-3) at Arizona Cardinals
It's becoming a cliche to say the Seahawks are flying under the radar. So the philosophical issue of the day is, can they both be a cliche and fly under the radar?

Yet they are. Seahawks
San Francisco 49ers (+3) at St.Louis Rams
Underachievers here. Rams need it more.
Rams
And our fabulous Monday night encounter.
Skins (-6.5) at Philadelphia Eagles
No taunting pictures here. The entire Commonpprejudice organization will be forced to wear Eagles jerseys next Sunday if the Skins can't pull this one off. Do I like their chances? Not really. I didn't watch much of the Eagles/Pack game but I heard that McNabb was not his old mobile self. That helps. The blitzes will have to be effective. McNabb will have to be a step or two slower than usual. Campbell can't miss receivers like he did last week. And, without really knowing what is going on, personally I much more comfortable with Springs playing the majority of the downs than Smoot.
But let's get real. It's hard for me to imagine picking against them after a dramatic victory and them being 6.5 point underdogs the following week. So let's shock the world.
Skins to cover and to win
